On Friday 15th November, students and staff of Rainford High Technology College raised a grand total of £1502.81 for Children in Need.
The annual appeal saw the whole school having fun and joining in with various fundraising activities. The school held a popular 'Wear Something Spotty' non uniform day, Year 7 student Eleanor held a cake sale and Hannah , a sixth form student organised a lunchtime 'Dance Off' called 'Dance Your Spots Off' which reflected the Children in Need theme this year. The dance off was an open invitation and saw both students and staff come together to take part in dancing to some old classic tunes like YMCA, Hey Macarena as well as more recent ones such as Gangnam Style, Cha Cha Slide etc.
A great time was had by all and we are extremely proud to support this amazing cause and help raise funds for disadvantaged children and young people throughout the UK. Well done everybody!
