Science Controlled Assessment (ISA)
The Science Controlled Assessment (ISA) is an incredibly important part of the GCSE. For students studying the Core and Additional Science GCSEs, it makes up 25% of the available marks of the Core, and 25% of the marks for Additional. For students studying separate sciences, there each a separate ISA for each of the Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSEs, again with a 25% weighting.
