Students were invited to attend an event at The Totally Wicked Stadium, Wednesday 26th February which was hosted by the Chair of the St Helen’s Economy Board, Eamonn McManus and organised by Cathryn White.
The Student Council members – Thomas Ralfs, James Birchall, Alfie Tinsley and Ben Lomas had the opportunity to meet local business owners/advisors and council representatives to discuss their ideas, hopes and aspirations for a brighter future in St Helens.
The aim of the programme is to develop successful links with Rainford High and the business community.
The students listened intently to presentations from
- David Baines ( St Helens Council Leader)
- Garth Dallas ( Head of Collaborations)
- Carly Quinn ( Team Manager – Care Leavers)
Many comments were made about how fantastically well the students represented Rainford High.
The students thoroughly enjoyed the event and are enthusiastic to grasp the opportunities offered.
