Politics Visit from MP Connor McGinn

On Friday 12th October 2018, our A Level Politics Students had a visit from Mr Conor McGinn, Member of Parliament for St Helens North for an insight to the work as a member of parliament. As part of their A Level specification, there is a key sense of participating in democracy and what better way to participate than having a discussion with the MP for the constituency.

Tony, Year 12 said that this was a great opportunity for him to ask questions to Mr McGinn about where he stands on the possibility of lowering the voting age to 16.

Tony does a wealth of political work both inside and outside college and this was a fantastic opportunity for him to meet and discuss politics with the MP for St Helens North.
