SEND students take second place in Kurling competition!!

The SEND Department were invited to take part in a competition being held at Lansbury Bridge. All organised by the Sports Development Team.

Our team consisted of 6 students (with two extra whom we swapped in to give us the edge!)

The team have been training in Boccia and New Age Kurling for a few weeks in the lead up to this, with Amie Drewett as their coach. The group took part in the Boccia competition in the morning and unfortunately didn’t get a place but were only 4 points short of bronze position.

The afternoon saw 4 teams meet to compete in the Kurling and our group took second place. Thanks to our Player of the Match – and secret weapon Hannah Bates!

A great time was had by all and out team showed excellent sportsmanship throughout!
