Trustee – Karen Rogan

Karen Rogan has worked in secondary education in Merseyside for over 30 years in a wide variety of teaching and managerial roles. Over the past five years she has worked in Secondary ITE as PGCE English Course Leader and as Head of Secondary/School Direct Secondary Lead for PGCE at Liverpool Hope University. She has an MA in Educational Practice and has presented at a range of educational conferences for BERA and TEAN.

Prior to this she was a Head of English, Local authority English Consultant and Assistant Principal. In these roles she contributed to a wide range of school improvement initiatives focusing on assessment, curriculum planning, literacy and English and their role in procuring positive Ofsted outcomes.

She has recently set up her own educational consultancy and continues to support schools and Initial Teacher Training, as well as offering tuition and communication support to private clients.

She is a trustee of the ADHD Foundation in Liverpool and is committed to raising awareness of neuro-disabilities and associated barriers to learning and, as a trustee governor at Rainford Multi-academy Trust, she serves on the Curriculum and Attainment and Audit Committees.
