Student Council Meets with Rainford Parish Councillors

Our student council had a very informative and productive meeting with Councillors Chris Lamb and Victoria Swainbank from Rainford Parish Council.

They discussed many issues from environmentalism and how students can help support the local Rainford In Bloom event, to how students can better engage with and be involved in their local community through Village Hall events for older residents.

Councillor Lamb, told the students about the chocolate orange appeal that he organises every year. Students asked could they help support the appeal. Mr Young set the students and the school a target of collecting 800 chocolate oranges in time for the December distribution. Councillor Lamb asked would they also like to help distribute them.
