Many of our students travel to Rainford High from the surrounding area. The buses that serve the school are public service buses and apart from the bus service we have provided for students coming from Skelmersdale and Knowsley, they are controlled and organised by Mersey Travel on behalf of the local authority. We do our best to ensure the buses provide a regular and efficient service. Please contact the school if you have issues with any service and we will do our best to resolve the situation.
Rainford train station is a 15 minute walk from the school but offers a direct and regular service from Kirkby and Liverpool into Rainford.
Our school building is cycle friendly with a number of cycle sheds for students who wish to come to school on their bikes. Please note that all bikes are brought on site at the students’ own risk. We advise that appropriate cycle locks are attached to any bikes stored in the bike shelters on site.
We have a small number of car parking spaces for sixth formers subject to an application process. Please see sixth form for further details
