Clarification on Self Isolation after a positive Covid result

Dear Parents / Carers

I would like to inform you of the Schools position on Self Isolation after a positive Covid test since last Thursdays change in the governments Legal Position.

Both Public Health England and the Government are still advising adults and children who test positive to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for at least 5 full days, and then to continue to follow the guidance until they have received two negative tests on consecutive days.

We, as a school, have taken the decision to refuse pupils and staff with a positive Covid result access to the school site in order to protect other pupils and staff from infection of Covid-19.

We appreciate your cooperation with this and will communicate any further updates based on guidance changes.

Kind regards

Ian Young
Principal
