Most Inspirational Secondary School

On Friday evening at the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool. Rainford High was declared the winner of the Most Inspirational Secondary School 2022.
This award reflects the efforts of every member of staff and student being prepared to live the ethos of our school of Everyone Matters , Everyone Hekps and Everyone Succeeds.

The success was based on the efforts to make Rainford High a school for everyone. Last year the school had a 170 events take place beyond the classroom plus well over a 100 sporting fixtures.

Some of these events included a Year 7 and Year 8 visit to Bushcraft, three Trips to the Eden Project, all of Year Seven attending the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. A Y10 Visit to the Thackery Museum as part of their GCSE. The visit of Judy Murray and Driving Force to inspire Girls into sport. As well as a Diversity Conference with significant public speakers such as John Barnes former Liverpool and England International, Paula Barker MP, Wale Adeyemi MBE Fashion Designer and Christian Owens from Gender Space giving their views to over 160 young people from six secondary schools from across the Liverpool City Region, who also delivered student to student workshops on the day. Plus a Y11 prom with celebrations and fireworks on site, completing the Three Peaks Challenge and Rowing to Norway on rowing machines. We have also performed more than ever before with the return of the School production in the Wizard Oz , Students performed at the Shakespeare Festival in Bury to critical acclaim as well as working with Alder Hey to perform pieces around child sexual exploitation.

The work the schools does around mental well being and SEND is also a cause for pride and celebration with this award. We are also proud of the great outcomes our students achieved in their examinations last summer and we know this good work will continue this year.

Well done to everyone. This is a whole school achievement you should all be very proud of.
