Rainford High has joined Marie Curie’s campaign to fill our windows with flowers on this National Day of Reflection, as a way to mark a year since the first lockdown
Students were asked to colour flower pictures to create a display in our windows at the front of school and the response has been wonderful.
Beautiful multi-coloured designs have been added to our Library windows and have already brightened the day of those passing by. Many of our students have been directly affected by the pandemic, and some of the flowers included heartfelt messages to loved ones lost to COVID 19, and to those who have helped during this difficult time.
The school will observe a minute’s silence as a way to reflect the last year and we hope that our bright display gives thoughts of positivity and happiness for the future.
We would like to thank all of those in our school community and our wider local community for the help and support through this year of COVID.
