Dear Parent/Carer,
I’m delighted to be able to write to you with details of remote learning sessions that will take place over October half-term to support Year 11 and 13 with their studies.
As you are aware, this is a crucial time in your child’s education. Anything you can do to maximise the support on offer from the school, as well as encouraging independent study at home, will help to improve students’ outcomes. If your child is absent from school, and would like to attend sessions, please contact the teacher delivering the session for access.
Over October half-term, we would appreciate your support with the following:
- Encouragement of your child’s attendance to remote sessions (the timetable for this is included and is available on the website)
- Reinforcement of independent study – we would recommend that students complete approximately 1-2 hours per day over the break;
Whilst all of the above is integral, we would also like to remind both students and parents of the need for students to rest and have opportunity to refuel. Most students are working exceptionally hard and have earned a well deserved break.
If you have any questions/queries regarding our October half-term events, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Miss Trivedi ([email protected]) or Mr Fletcher ([email protected]).
