Rainford High has just been awarded the Artsmark Gold Award. This prestigious award from the Arts Council of Great Britain recognises the depth and variety of work in the arts both inside and outside the classroom. It is the culmination of two year’s hard work by both visual and performing arts staff and our students, and reflects the developing partnerships with arts professionals that have enriched the artistic and cultural life of our school community.
‘The panel recognises the commitment and innovation you have shown in developing a wide range of artistic and cultural opportunities for pupils at Rainford High School’
‘Your partnership working with local professionals, including the music hub has enabled pupils and staff to expand their artistic horizons. You have also effectively raised the profile of cultural agendas at a local level and this work is to be commended’.
