Rainford High have been successful in being shortlisted in the 2021 Educate Awards, in four areas:
- Careers and Enterprise Award.
- SEND Provision Award.
- Mental Health and Wellbeing Award category.
- Most Inspirational Secondary School Award.
The four nominations make Rainford High the school with the most shortlisted nominations this year.
Ian Young said, “As Principal, I am delighted to be shortlisted in so many categories and it shows how well the school has worked throughout the pandemic, that we find ourselves able to celebrate our communities hard work, progress and success in this way.”
The Educate Awards committee said “2021 has again seen a huge number of entries and the quality across all categories has really impressed judges, making it a very tough decision-making process. Whittling down to a final shortlist has been even more difficult this year, given the last 18 months and the challenges the education sector has faced.”
As a school, we have been fortunate to have success at these awards in the past and we hope to be successful in at least one category again this year.
The prestigious Educate Awards 2021 ceremony and gala dinner is on Friday 19th November at Liverpool Cathedral.
