Over the last couple of weeks, we have been working hard to reward our students for their hard work. This has included praise postcards being given out to 270 students who have received the top effort and attitude grades this term.
We have also held reward assemblies for every year this week where we have recognised our student’s effort, attendance and improvement as well as celebrating those who have embodied our ethos every day.
Mr Young our Principal has also invited the top 10 students with the most house points to his office for break time rewards of bacon sandwiches and hot chocolates.
Mr Young said “Rewarding and praising young people for their effort and attitude is a really important way to reinforce the concept that following the school ethos and taking part brings praise and a feel good factor for the students. It was fantastic to spend a small amount of time with our top house point gatherers and find out their secrets of success.”
Our ongoing House competitions including donation challenges, sporting events, the annual bottle top collection and the highly competitive Christmas Door Competition that has been won by Mrs Bray and her form. This terms competitions has seen Endeavour crowned as winners. Every house member of Endeavour celebrated with hot chocolate and sweets on the last day of term. However, all is not lost as the points carry forward to next term so there is still plenty to fight for to see who is the top house at the end of next term.
