Year 11 Be Brilliant Day

Well done to all of Rainford High’s Year 11 students for their excellent engagement within our ‘Be Brilliant’ Day; designed to provide relevant ‘stage and age’ careers education information and guidance that will help support students in making fully informed choices about their futures and aspirations.

Students were treated to performances from the ‘Open the Door’ theatre company, who explained how apprenticeships can be the route to a great career and how apprenticeships work. Students also had the opportunity to hear from external speakers from our partners at the St Helens Chamber and Career Connect, who presented sessions on Creating CV’s, Interview Skills, CV-19 Implications Top Tips, Social Media Profiles and Entrepreneurship.

Thank you also to our sixth form students who spoke to all Year 11 students about A level, BTEC and NCFE qualifications, the 6th Form student experience and the benefits of college life!

With additional sessions on Post 16 & 18 applications, Interview Skills and Labour Market Information / pathways provided by Mr Makin, Mr Rothwell and Mr Fletcher, the day was a great success. Thank you once again to all those involved!
