Today, students had the opportunity to experience life at high school, meet their form tutors, make new friends, and begin to discover what their journey at ...Rainford will be all about.
Throughout the day, they explored mathematical sequences in Maths, uncovered some wonderfully iconic Shakespearean insults in English, and even enjoyed an exclusive preview of our Drama Club's production, 'Night at the Musicals' 🎭✨
We hope everyone has had a brilliant day and enjoyed their first taste of life at Rainford. It was wonderful to meet so many enthusiastic, talented, and eager young people, and we are incredibly excited to welcome you back in September as you begin the next stage of your educational journey.

Our students demonstrated impressive research, ...critical thinking, and presentation skills, delivering in-depth analyses on subjects they are truly passionate about.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication, independence, and academic curiosity shown throughout their projects. 👏
📚 What is the EPQ?
The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is designed for sixth-form students and is typically studied alongside A-levels. It gives students the opportunity to explore a topic of personal interest in depth, develop advanced research and evaluation skills, and manage a substantial independent project from start to finish.
The qualification is worth half an A-level and can contribute up to 28 UCAS points, making it a valuable addition to university applications. It is highly regarded by universities as evidence of independent learning, time management, and academic ambition.

Over the past three days, students have enjoyed an incredible experience exploring the culture and history of Valencia. 🇪🇸
They visited the Fallas Museum and explored the City of Arts and Sciences. As well as discovering the history of central Valencia on a guided walking tour in the... sunshine.
Students also took part in an exciting open-air paella workshop, touring the gardens where fresh ingredients are grown before competing in teams to create their own dishes🥘
The trip concluded with visits to the Science Museum and the world-famous Oceanogràfic, before enjoying a final meal together.
Throughout the visit, students represented the school brilliantly and hopefully created memories that will last for years to come 🇪🇸✨
