Principal’s Letter 29.11

Dear Parent/ Carers,

Due to the Omicron variant we need to reinforce and enforce the wearing of face masks in corridors and communal areas. This is now a directive from the Department of Education and we will work hard to improve compliance for everyone’s benefit. Thank you for your support with this as we move forward.

This means all students who use public transport should wear a mask unless exempt and students will not be allowed to board school buses without a face mask in place.

This means for assembly’s students need to wear face masks and staff should also attend in face masks. Students should be testing twice a week with lateral flow tests.

The school will continue to provide a remote offer that will be on google classroom and uploaded at the latest by 9.30am on the day after the lesson was timetabled to be delivered.

The failure to have a face mask will now become an equipment issue and mean that a student who is not exempt and falls to have a face mask from Tuesday will receive a standards detention.

I would ask that however weary we may feel that we work hard to support these measures to keep children in school and maintain normality as much as possible in the short, medium and long term

As always thank you for your ongoing support during these challenging times

Kind regards

Mr Ian Young

Principal
