Congratulations to Year 7’s Tom K. and George Y. who won the coveted St Helens Chamber Social Enterprise competition.
As part of Rainford’s Careers Education Information and Guidance, our Year 7’s took part in an activity day presented by the St Helens Chamber, to challenge and develop key skills for the world of work.
Students were tasked with working in teams, to produce a design and business plan for a product that would be presented to a Dragon’s Den panel who would decide on a winning innovation.
We are so proud of the creativity and enthusiasm demonstrated by our Year 7 students and a huge well done to all of those who took part, our finalists and winners.The winning product was an amazing self- cooling drinking bottle which was eco friendly and very scientific!
Tom and George will be presenting their idea to our SLT team next week! All students received a certificate for completing the tasks and we hope that they take the skills they have learnt to help in the future.
